Core Values:

  • Word of God - a primary way God communicates with us.
    • Inspired - the entire Bible was written under the influence and guidance of the Holy Spirit and clearly reveals the heart of God concerning salvation.

You have been taught the holy Scriptures ... and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.  - 2 Timothy 3:15-17 NLT

    • True - many people today think that truth is relative, however, the Word of God is true for all people for all time.

For the word of God is living and active. sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thought and attitudes of the heart.  - Hebrews 4:12

    • Powerful - what influences our lives so that we can live in a way that pleases God?  The Word of God is that influence.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.  - Psam 119:11     Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path - Psam 119:105

  • Prayer - a primary way we communicate with God.

Look to the Lord and His Strength; seek His face always.  - 1 Chronicles 16:11

    • Praise - our praise of God is based on His character - that He is love, full of grace and mercy, holy, righteous, faithful and good - regardless of our circumstances.

    • Praise - our praise of God is based on His character - that He is love, full of grace and mercy,   holy, righteous, faithful and good - regardless of our circumstances.

    • Seeking - when we truly understand the greatness and goodness of our God, our prayers become not so much a seeking after God for our purposes but an offering of ourselves for His purposes.  What more could we ask or desire than God's will to be fulfilled in our life?

  • Listening - to understand God's heart, we must listen to Him. Every relationship is based on expressing ideas and understanding the heart of someone else.
  • Asking - the Word of God instructs us to make our requests known.  At the same time we in no way want to dictate the terms - God's will in every situation is what's best.
  • Personal Relationship with God - the primary relationship of a Christian's life.

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God!  And that is what we are!   1 John 3:1

    • God is seeking us - from the beginning of time God has come looking for us because He recognizes that we won't go looking for Hi
    • What is your response? - the only way we can enter into a relationship with God is by faith, which means agreeing with God that we are helpless and in need of a Savior.
    • Walking with God - once we have entered into this relationship with God it becomes our responsibility to nourish and care for this relationship by walking with Him in submission and obedience.
    • The Truth - Jesus promised the Life we've received from Him is for our life now and forever.
    •
  • Family - the primary context where our personal relationship with God is lived out.

But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve . . . Bust as for me and my househokd, we will serve the Lord.  - Joshua 24:14

    • God Centered - having God at the center of you family involves a clear focus on who God is and what He desires for your family.
    • Solid Spiritual Practices - Parents modeling the Christian faith before their family in such a way that we live what we believe and believe what we live.
    • Authentic Love - our homes need to be a sanctuary from the pressures and influence of the world where mutual respect and an atmosphere of encouragement are anchored by unconditional love.

  • Discipleship - the development, growth and pursuit of our relationship with God.

Jesus said "Come, Follow Me . . . and I will make you Fishers of Men" - Matthew 4:19   "This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples."  John 15:5 & 8

    • Personal - Four our relationship with God to grow and remain healthy there needs to be training in righteousness that produces a spirit of submission, humility and ovedience.
    • Mentoring - While we never grow beyond the need of being individually discipled, God's plan is for each one of us to grow in our relationship with Him to the point where we can say: "follow me as I follow Christ."

  • Worship - the expression of our love and adoration for God.

Come let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker, for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.  - Psalms 95:6-7

    • The Presence of Christ among Us - through Christ we have the privilege to acknowledge and celebrate God's glory as we embrace His Gif of grace together.

    • The Presence of Christ in Me - through Christ i have been given the priviege to dclare the goodness and glory of God . . . at all times and in every circumstance.

    • My response - as those who have received God's grace we endeavor to live a life that brings praise and glory to God alone.
  • Mission - carrying out the task(s) God has for us.

Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the fanther and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  - Matthew 28:20   "The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."  -  Matthew 25:40

  • Servants of the gospel - we must share the Good News of Jesus with the lost individually while ensuring that this Good News is proclaimed throughout the world.

  • Acts of Compassion/Service to Others - we must see people with the eyes of Jesus meeting them where they are and at their point of need.

  • Fellowship - living out our common fith in the community of Christ.
" . . . where two or three come together in My name, there am I with them."  - Matthew 18:20

  • A Vital Connection - spiritual life and vitality occur as we submit to Christ and to each other within the community of faith.

  • Life together - our love for God is only as real as our love for one another.
